Japan defined the karaoke experience, and redefines it all the time. Their database is massive and constantly being updated. They often have more English songs than English karaoke bars back in N. America. Best of all, you don’t have to sit through the wrenching freshman girl group renditions of “I Will Survive”, as if they ever felt a minute of hardship in their overprivileged lives.

I know, being on this site, writing about it, kind of ironic, but I do want to get off the internet more. I live in an awesome, beautiful part of Japan, and I do get out quite a bit, but this past weekend, I swear, I barely left the house, which is unlike me. I already spend Mon-Fri sitting at a desk, in front of a computer, I really don’t need to be doing that on my weekends off. With things like StumbleUpon and youtube, it has become so hard, though. I guess StumbleUpon should be the first to go.
Getting online and finding out useful information and inspiration, like this site, is good, but if I’m blogging about it and not acting on it, then what am I really accomplishing in the end?
I’m quite tall (6’4) and I spent my adolescence slouching because I didn’t want to appear to be the giant in the room. It has since worsened my posture, especially my lower neck. I am a student and living overseas, so I don’t know about finding a chiropractor, nor do I really think of their procedures as 100% effective (but not total quackery). Looking for good techniques to help me out, especially the neck.
