Took my first yoga class last Thursday, since I was off work.
I could feel how tight my muscles were – especially my hamstrings! I think this class could help a lot with my injury issues.
As a bonus, at the end of the class, the teacher told me it didn’t look like it was my first time. Yay! That was my competitive spirit that made me do my best.
Later that night, felt like I had been hit by a truck though – or like I had a deep tissue massage.
I want to try and take a class at least 1x a week, preferably 2.

Making progress on this. Trying to stick to the schedule.
The last few weeks I’ve been doing well (except for a week I took off due to knee pain).
I’ve been trying to get in 2 runs on the weekend, attend speedwork on Tuesday’s, and then get someone to meet me on Thursday’s. That seems to be working well.

Revised goal

A couple of months ago, I revised this goal down to 750, but I think I’m still going to miss it.
Back when I set the goal at the end of last year, I was training for my half, so my mileage was up. The first few months of this year, I was no longer training, and didn’t have any real long runs, so my mileage suffered.
I’m being consistent with my running now, and avg 10-15 miles per week (although this week I may go over 20!) but I’m so far in the hole for the first 6 months, that I can’t catch up.
oh well, we will see what happens!
