not going to the drumming workshop this time but went to Hawaii for a prolonged stopover on my way home from LA.
took some time to visit Diamond Head (strenuous in 30C heat) and took a day tour to Kualoa Ranch, full on program , well organized, worth a visit!
took the helicopter ride across the Grand Canyon, wow… what a ride that was, not only the joy of being in the helicopter itself but the view as well… yikes!
wow,what a trip this was…
left Chicago with a schedule and GPS, both of them fell by the wayside within a couple of days and we just enjoyed being on the road. got lost countless times but met so many helpful people that drew mudmaps for us, escorted us or made calls on our behalf, even the sheriff of a county stopped by to take a pic on our behalf.
the trip was a life changing experience and i hope to do it again one day…
