I really want to go on a Lululemon shopping spree
I’ve received numerous financial gifts from my grandma in the past year and have gotten my credit card down to $1000 but then I had my A/C go out in my car and had to put $1500 onto my new Amazon card but luckily my grandma loaned me $1000 to pay the bulk of it off and with my bonus from work I was able to pay off my Amazon card entirely. Now I jsut need to pay off my Chase card so I can close it and be done with it!
I’ve been a concert photographer for over 5 year and I’ve recently decided to try foraying into wedding photography.
My friend Amy is getting married in December and she said I can be her reception photographer so I’m really excited to kind of have a gig where I’ll be photographing from a more professional vs “wedding attendant” point of view.
I’ll make sure to let you guys know how it goes!
So I was at a point where I was maxed out to my $2400 limit from a NYC trip my bf and I took back in April and I was slowly working my way on paying it off. I hardly used it but it was stressing me out and I felt like I’d never pay it off. I got it down to about $1800 and my goal was to pay off $100 (down to $1400) and then I could start replenishing my savings. This kind of got side tracked as I had to put a large purchase on my card due to lack of funds in my checking account thus raising my balance again. My birthday was last week and I was blessed with a LARGE check from my grandma that paid my $2000 balance down to $629.28. This is a more reasonable number that I can see paying off in the near future and now my interest will be lower and I can start replenishing my savings so I’m almost there, but not quite yet!
My boyfriend and I might not end up getting a house once we get married since we’re going to remain child free and that just seems like a lot of upkeep for 2 people.
We’ll see though.
I found a band who’s willing to try me out so I’ll possibly be on tour next year. I’m beyond stoked because this is all I’ve ever wanted.
Wish me luck!
This fell through. They decided to take someone else out with them :(
I just got a hold of my dad’s film SLR (Canon AE1) for my birthday so I’m using that out to get used to lenses and everything. I’m still waiting on a job so I can have the financial resources to afford footing the bill for a dSLR.
Cartel brought me onstage for my birthday which was pretty exciting. This year seems to be the year of bringing Ashley onstage.
So I got to go on stage with Fall Out Boy who is my favorite band of all time but I didn’t get to sing…I got to shoot baseballs at Dirty and get a print signed in their blood but still! I’m getting closer! :)
Back in Feb. I got my picture taken with Will from Cartel because I have lyrics from their song “Burn This City” in his handwriting. The picture is of Will next to my tattoo and they took it for a segment in Alternative Press magazine called “In Less Than 1,000 Words” where every month a different band submits pictures of what life is like on the road for them. It hasn’t been published yet but when it has, it’s kind of like having my picture in a magazine.
I got on stage with Cobra Starship and although they’re not my favorite band, I think this partly crosses off this thing I want to do before I die.
I’m going to do this in November. My friends and I are flying out to Orlando and I’m going to rent a car for the first time so we can get around. I’m kind of excited because I consider renting a car to be one of those things you need to do as a grown up and gaining more responsibility.
Got 3 pages done and haven’t touched it in several weeks. My goal is to get it done before I see my friend again which probably won’t be for several months so hopefully once I get back to school I’ll get my butt back in gear.
Maybe tomorrow….
My friend and I came up with this idea of creating a straight edge zine since there’s really no straight edge zines out there and we’re like “hey, if cigar aficionados and boozers can have their own magazines why can’t we?” so the plan was to finish it by this summer but shit happens and so far only brain storming has happened. :(
I would LOVE to get paid to take pictures of bands for a living it’s one of my passions and I dream that a band’s PR person will love my pictures so much that they’ll get sold to AP and I’ll see them in a layout of the next issue.
Getting your license is basically the best thing ever. haha I can’t imagine NOT being able to drive.
