How I did it: Before going to my new endo doc. my A1C was 8.6ish. Right before the pump it was down to 7.9. Today 3 months after starting the pump I'm at..... drumroll please....... 7.0!!!! I haven't been that low since I was pregnant. So how did I do it?After years of denial, tears, and poor self-care, I got myself a good therapist, a new endo doc, and something finally clicked. Whereas my prior doc said that I wasn't in … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to the local MLIS program, volunteered at the local public library, and interned with the Friends. All three parts are critical: the degree, the experience, and meeting the right people. Other than that, I was confident in myself and didn't approach the interviews with fear, but I also wasn't cocky. I'm really happy with my life now, so if I didn't get the job I was applying for, it really wasn't a big deal.&… Read how I did it…

My computer is sad so I haven’t checked in lately…
Today I am grateful:
- That all seems to be going well at my new branch location. I’m only a bit overwhelmed, which I think is excellent.
- That my yarn store has a satellite store near my new work location. I went there today at lunch. Happy, happy, happy
- At the yarn store I found a new pattern booklet for knit balloon animals. You knit a tube of sausages and then twist it around to make specific animals. Awesome!
- My mother felt like being a Mama this morning and insisted on driving me to work. ‘It’s too cold to be at the bus stop honey.’
- Making valentines with the boy. I’m still covered with glitter, my cat is covered with glitter, my kitchen is covered in glitter. It’s pretty.
My computer is sad and sick, so I only have a few seconds to update.
I did most of it. I failed at the Nerd Dating. I decided to fail at not drinking caffeine. I haven’t finished cleaning my home. But I played games, dressed up, was social, had good blood sugars, a few surprizes and generally had a great month.
Mark this done.
