October 31, 2007 I was blessed with a little goblin named Gabriel. He has been the hardest and most wonderful thing I have ever done.

There is such thing as a quarter-life crisis. At least – there was for me. It happened to me about 5 or 6 years ago when I still lived in Austin. It was the ultimate, slap you in the face, “What the F am I going to do with my life?!” It’s the time when you realize that all the answers you thought you had were either stupid or just wrong, and now you have to find all new answers.
I came out of it ok, thank goodness. I got married, moved, and fell into a career. Still, it’s the falling that I am not sure I am comfortable with. It’s the occasional feeling of settling.
How does one know the difference between settling down or just plain settling?
Wow. Life is such an amazing thing. My seedlings have turned into beautiful baby plants. It is about time to start introducing them to the outside world. I plan on spending time on my balcony tomorrow, as I have some great empty pots that need to be filled.
What’s that old adage about time spent doing things we love not counting towards life’s demise? Well – the wording is wrong, but you know what I mean. ;)
