I don’t just want to learn to speak Japanese – I want to be able to read and write it, which I know is much harder! I want to be able to watch Samurai dramas in the original without subtitles. And to create cool props for role-playing games set in Japan! :)

How I did it: I pretty much used the same system I used to learn Hiragana: I used application called Mnemosyne, a Spaced Repetition System. It's a flashcard program, that shows cards your less familiar with more often, and the easy ones less often.
