buy my mom her dream house
mi madre 5 months ago

My mother is perhaps the most amazing woman I have ever encountered. I know that this is something that all people say about their parents, but I really take this to heart. I’ll say this here and I’ll mean it:: My mom is a zillion times more phenomenal than the typical parent. I believe my mother is perhaps one of the most exceptional creatures that has ever lived. She has sacrificed her whole existence for her children and continues to do so without credit or hesitation. She always does for others and does nothing for her own pleasure or benefit. She has worked and supported three children all on her own. She has battled a never ending divorce for the past eight years, all for her two youngest children – for their safety. Parents should not have to go into debt from lawyer fees to protect their own children from their father. The mental stress that this has put on her is killing her. Working too hard is killing her. Volunteering and putting her children in the best schools and in every sport is killing her. Spending money for her children’s education and neglecting her basic necessities is killing her. Taking care of everyone in the extended family is certainly not an easy task as well. My mom, more than anyone I know deserves to have the world. I wish I could do more. I feel like I have been her greatest disappointment, though she will never say so and perhaps would never think so. In reality the guilt that I put on myself for being such a disappointment and a waste of oxygen is my sole driving force for having a PharmD. I’ve fucked that up once. I can’t disappoint her again.
