But my new goal is “during 2012,” which is only 7 months extra and I think still doable. It was nice having this semester off.

How I did it: Found a recipe online (the New York Times article I referenced in my first post). Followed it. It's perfect. There's not much more to say about it, despite 43things insisting I say more. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Our deep freeze was a disaster. Because it's in our garage, it was especially hard in the winter to spend the time digging around out there, because it would be so cold. Now, from the kitchen, we can see what is out t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I decided to have a separate savings account where I was saving for nothing in particular. I just called it my "squirrel" account (like squirrels putting away acorns). It is separate from my insurance account, my indulgence account, my tuition account, etc. I set a goal and started transferring amounts in there, little by little, anywhere from $35 to $200. Often, though, my big transfers were made up of several sma… Read how I did it…

I like knowing how many I’ve read and looking over the variety. It does take some effort…I need to spend time reading, but I am doing that a lot more. Taking the bus once a week has helped me get some positive time in with my Kindle. For the forseeable future, this is going to be my goal, I think: 30 each year. 2 1/2 per month…seems like a good clip while still having a life.
Tons of progress made here…moved all my music and podcasts off my computer to an external hard drive so it runs much faster, then cleaned up my horribly messy desktop. I feel calmer every time I look at the screen.
