I was out walking this morning munching on some raisin bran when I started to wonder what it would be like to each just one type of food day in and day out. Like dogs and dog food. Do they get sick of it? My dog doesn’t seem to mind, but then again he doesn’t really have a choice. Anyway, that’s when I decided I would eat only raisin bran for a week. If the dog can do it, I should be able to do it, right?

Remember what it feels like to be really sick for days… when it takes all your energy to get out of bed…when your skin is raw from blowing your nose too much…when you start to think that you might be dying and it doesn’t sound so bad? Remember the day the fever breaks? You still feel like crap but you can sense that you’ll be ok. That’s where I’m at. I’m roaming around rock bottom learning what it feels like to breath again.

I just got the keys to my house a couple of days ago. I don’t feel excited like I thought I would. I’m happy but it’s a little overwhelming. I bought a fixer upper. There’s lots to do and I don’t really have much money left so I’m doing the fixing myself. Before I bought the house I had these silly visions of coming in like one of those house flippers, demolishing and rebuilding everything all in 4 weeks…yeah, that’s not going to happen. There’s lots of things I don’t know about and there’s lots of things I don’t have…garden tools, lawnmower, ladder, drill. I totally didn’t consider any of this. It’s fun though. I was there yesterday removing the popcorn ceiling. Thanks to a little internet researching this went really well. I almost think I’ve found a new calling…haha. Next on my list is to figure out how to move around walls and put up drywall. Let’s hope it goes well.
