Every time I reconciled our bank statement, I saw how often and how much I spent at Starbucks. That’s really what bugged me. I thought, “This is crazy!” And hubby was being very nice about it; he wasn’t on my case, so I felt even worse. So, for him and for the bank statement, I decided to quit Starbucks for the year and it wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Just drive on by and keep going. I substituted my usual Starbucks or two with coffee from home and those flavored creamers; they’re actually pretty YUMMY! So, no… I didn’t give up coffee, but I think I’m drinking less concentrated caffeine, and I’m certainly spending less time and money at Starbucks. I really felt a sense of accomplishment when I was doing this, and when I could look back and see what I had done. I’m not usually so “good” about stuff - I’m not self-disciplined - so this amazed me. If I can do it, you can do it! :)
LIsfOrlioN doesn't have anything on their life list yet…
Worth it for the fun and experience of doing it. If it’s not fun, don’t do it. I created mine when HTML was all there was. That was fun! Now, I use Yahoo!’s Site Builder. Anything else is beyond me.
If you want to do it for the fun of it, go for it! If there’s any other reason to do it, e.g. you need it for your business, have someone else do it.
I’m definitely open to doing it again, but not the way I did it the first time. My boyfriend at the time must have planned it, but didn’t say anything to me. We were on a short, easy hike and he “finds” a spot to have a picnic. Next thing I know, he’s rolling on top of me and excited out of his mind. I wasn’t into it, and I certainly wasn’t enjoying the dampness or the sticks poking into my back, but I love having sex so not much really gets in the way of that. Ended up with peanut butter and jelly sandwich stuck to the back of my shirt, and just a “what the…?” kind of feeling afterwards. It was his little fantasy. I just wish he’d clued me in (way) beforehand so I could have enjoyed it more, and maybe helped pick the spot. Whatever…
