How I did it: I made up lots of items to sell. In this case it was my pocket mirrors in varying designs. I then took photos of everything, then gradually listed them. I actually went over my goal and I have 45 items listed instead of 43! :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I think it's impossible to go a day without learning something new. You always learn something even if it's something really small. The problem is you are not always AWARE of when you have just learned something. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did not have a plan as to how and what I would give when I started this. I just knew that I wanted to do at least 43 random acts of kindness (RAKs) by Christmas 2008. I let myself be inspired as I went along, and whenever an idea popped into my head I did it. Here are some my favorite RAKs that I did:Sent ebay customer their item for free (including the shipping).Gave a scratch off lottery ticket to the cart pers… Read how I did it…

But I am loving it!
The best lesson I’ve learned so far is that a random act of kindness doesn’t have to be big or have to cost you any (or much) money. The smallest thing done for someone who is not expecting it can have a HUGE impact on them.
I have decided that Rather than list every single act here , I am keeping a handwritten list. At the end of this experience I will type it up here in hopes that it will inspire someone. :)
I wish I had thought of it sooner. I would have given myself 43 days to do the 43 RAKs, but that’s ok. I’m off to a good start. I did 2 so far today. One was sending a customer’s purchase completely free (including the shipping), and the other was letting someone off the hook for an error that cost me money.
So that’s 2 down and 41 to go… :)
