She is soooooo damn eager to dispense her valuable advice on how I should raise my children. But wait a minute! Wasn’t she long divorced by the time I was 4 as my older son is now? Is my inability to accept her not (at least partially) the result of her pedagogical effort?

Did it more than once. Quit well paid banking jobs without finding new ones. Several months of doing nothing followed. Doing nothing was the hard part but I never regretted. Terrible end is better than terror without the end.
It is just a game we play with our minds and people who know us. People who knew me under my old last name still call me that old name and I do not mind. So why don’t instead introduce yourself under some made-up name, call yourself Gaius Julius Caesar and not let others get hold of you by knowing your real name. It would be much more fun than all the official paperwork.
