It’s so strange that even though I’ve completed my undergrad programme and received a degree (which entailed alot more work) I’m more proud of my certificate of participation in this basic cosmetology class.

In addition, my friends and family have even complimented my make up. I’m so happy about this!

I used to love to read. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way I just stopped reading literature outside of that required for class. Novels just didn’t hold my interest as much. Anyway, now I want to change my reading habits. I want to read widely and more often. I think reading more can only help me grow as a person. It will help me improve my vocabulary and make me a better orator. I can only benefit from my renewed commitment to reading.

Developing a skill 21 months ago

Even though I am busy with school, I could not pass up the opportunity to take a make up class being offered in the country where I am currently studying. I only have one more class to go before I get my certificate.

Even though it’s a short course (and even though i feel like they go waaaaaaay overboard with the make up at times), I’m glad that I’m doing it. It’s something different from what I am accustomed to. It’s also a way to escape from my school life and the monotony of being around the same people all the time.
