How I did it: I had got in to a really bad habit of eating loads of biscuits and chocolate while I was studying to relieve stress, consequently I just kept growing. I stopped buying biscuits and chocolate; allowing myself to relax properly and have some treats (like 1 biscuit a day). I lost a few pounds this way. Then I came home from university and started eating all fresh food and a better variteys of meals and made sure I didn't overfill myself when… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I really wanted to work as a waitress and not in a shop so I spent three days walking around handing in job applications to my local restaurants, bars, and Starbucks'. I love the music that people play on the streets! I never give them money though, although I usually do have some change to spare, mostly because it’s such a hassle to open my bag and then look for my purse and find some change in the middle of a busy street and sometimes it feels not a safe thing to do. I always feel bad because I love their music and feel bad at my not botheredness. So, when i’m pretty sure i’ll be somewhere where i’ll pass them, i’m going to beforehand put some change in my back or coat pocket ready to give them.
I want to make an account as i’ve been watching lots of videos where people talk about their social anxiety, and it seems really helpful to them and other people.
I finally got round to doing this last night! I recorded and edited my first video a few days and then I signed up last night. Now i’m just waiting for the video to upload and i’m done!
One thing I didn’t realise was how vulnerable I would feel putting a video out there, scary stuff :s But I guess it’s another step in overcoming social anxiety, accepting that you can’t control how everyones going to judge you and letting yourself be.
