I have a crazy idea for a coffee table book, kinda similar to Found and Post Secret. I don’t want to do the leg work unless I can successfully pitch my idea to a publisher and convince them to throw some money my way to sustain myself while I dedicate my life to the book.

How I did it: I grew up with the television as my closest companion. I was young and impressionable in the era of early MTV and shows like the Real World, Beavis and Butthead, etc. My social life revolved around quoting television and films with my friends. I slept with the TV on every night and spent countless waking hours watching it. The worst part is that when TV is such a big part of your life, you don't even care what you're watching anymore. It … Read how I did it…
I took french in middle, and high school and found myself conversing in it outside of class with one of my delinquent friends. The irony of two american punks speaking french in their free time still seems funny. I have some language tapes that I downloaded on my computer, but I never find time to just sit and listen to them, and to practice my pronunciation out loud? in a room by myself? when someone in the other room might over-hear me speaking french poorly to myself? Seems sketchy. I would really rather go live in France for a while and pick it up out of necessity.
