I used to get the “24 hour virus” all the time. For those that don’t know that phrase, it’s when your extremely sick for exactly one day. You vomit your guts out. And you’re probably saying “Why does he want to PUKE and be SICK?”
Well, I haven’t been sick in about 6 years. I have a great immunity to the virus after having it many MANY times. But, on those days I would get pampered. My mom would, be a mom. I could feel helpless all day, and loose, and weak and not have to move. Everything felt comfortable. And you can sleep all day without worries. Having the fever feels like you’re floating. You just feel SO weak, that your mind wanders in your head, and your eyes roll around and their own will. I loved the loose weak feeling, but I hated the throwing up.
(And I like the days out of school, It would usually be a week)
