But it is still something i definately want to do this year! I know in my past entries i mentioned i would do it for Valentines day but i thought about it alot and figured it wasn’t the right time. We’re planning on buying a house this year and to go on an expensive vacation when we’re supposed to be saving to buy a house just wouldn’t be right. However, if we buy a house in the summer like we plan to, then our 7 year anniversary is on the 1st of October so that would be the perfect time for a relaxing vacation :) and this time no changing my mind – it’s the perfect time!

I want to plan a surprise vacation for me and my boyfriend for February (maybe around Valentines day). We have been together for six years and i have had a really tough year this year and he has been amazing through it all. We haven’t been away just the two of us since last year. I really want to make this an extra special surprise for him. I have been saving for a year so i have the money to go but i just cant decide on a place.
There are 2 choices:
1. Sydney – We’ve never been out of Europe together before so this would be a great adventure. I’ve heard lots of great things about Australia and Sydney looks like it has so many activities to do there…plus it’s summer in Australia still in February so it would still be hot.
2. A more exotic beach holiday (maybe Hawaii??) – again outside Europe and it would be an adventure, again, and it would be relaxing and romantic but might not have as many activities.
Ok, here is the question – which of these vacations do you think would be suitable?
Another note to add – i think this might be the year that my boyfriend asks me to marry him – he’s been hinting that it will probably be soon – so he might decide to take the opportunity whilst we’re on vacation – so it has to be the PERFECT place!!!
Please leave comments and tell me what you think :-)
I’ve just been thinking that this is a really great goal for me. It also gives me a reason to work hard and save money – something i’ve not been doing very well lately :-)
I’ve also thought that maybe i could combine this goal with my ‘Visit a country outside Europe’ goal.
I’ve already had an idea about the place…but shhhh don’t tell anyone!
