I got a bit side-tracked with my reading, which is why it’s taken me so long to finish the next book – Numbers. I stand amazed at all the rules the Israelites had to obey – thank heavens that Jesus came to fulfill The Law!

How I did it: Signed up with Arthur Murray Dance Studio. We attend private lessons for an hour each week with a very skilled dance instructor who is able to give us individual attention. We did our latin exam in July 2009 and did the smooths in September 2009, which also signalled the completion of our secondary bronze level. We achieved great marks and are very pleased with our dancing progress. Now on to intermediate! Exam in March/April 2010 Read how I did it…
How I did it: Husband and I sat down and drew up a family budget and for a few months we tracked our expenses against it, tweaking it where it needed tweaking and adjusting our spending where it needed adjusting. In the end, the key is discipline and clear financial goals as those are the only things that will make you stick to your budget. How I did it: Rented storage space at a facility in town and moved all our excess there one Saturday afternoon with the help of a friend's trailer. Now we just need to get rid of our other (non-furniture) excesses.. Read how I did it…

We finished with the latins at the end of July, now just need to complete the smooths. Exam on the 14th of September.
Started this out of neccessity – we are going to start trying for a baby in about 2 weeks time & will need to have 4 months’ worth of savings for my (unpaid) maternity leave. Luckily I have quite a nice sum of free cash every month and so I don’t need to save my whole salary (because I only need about 2/3’s of it for each month’s expenses).
So far (after 1 month of saving) we have saved 1/6 of the amount needed for maternity leave (which roughly equals 3 months’ worth of my full salary).
