I got a bit side-tracked with my reading, which is why it’s taken me so long to finish the next book – Numbers. I stand amazed at all the rules the Israelites had to obey – thank heavens that Jesus came to fulfill The Law!

We finished with the latins at the end of July, now just need to complete the smooths. Exam on the 14th of September.
Started this out of neccessity – we are going to start trying for a baby in about 2 weeks time & will need to have 4 months’ worth of savings for my (unpaid) maternity leave. Luckily I have quite a nice sum of free cash every month and so I don’t need to save my whole salary (because I only need about 2/3’s of it for each month’s expenses).
So far (after 1 month of saving) we have saved 1/6 of the amount needed for maternity leave (which roughly equals 3 months’ worth of my full salary).
After a long time on just having this goal on my list of things to do, I have finally started.
I don’t have a reading schedule per se, but read a bit on most mornings, and have so far read through Genesis & Exodus & now busy with Leviticus. I have to admit, Leviticus is not the most thrilling reading material, but I’m soldiering on.
Quite enjoyed Genesis & Exodus though – all the old stories I used to hear as a kid, but never thought about again. It’s nice to see where everything/everyone fits in from the beginning.
YAY! After a lot of time spent wishing my husband would become “ready”, he announced that he was about 3 months ago. And we set a date to start trying after my birthday (the 21st of this month). So I’m super excited. And hoping i get pregnant on the first few tries. And praying that the miscarriage streak that runs in our family doesn’t also fall on me…
Was pretty discouraged after failing twice, so bad that I only tried again after 2 years. And I MADE it this time!!!
Couldn’t have done this without God – He was my hands, feat and eyes during the test. In awe of the wonders He does.
Making good leeway with this goal. We’ve set up a budget for repayments and are keeping to it pretty well. If all goes well, most of our debt will be paid off last year.
Which will make certain other goals easier as well … ;-)
Making good progress on this goal, although it isn’t a house to live in but to rent out for investment purposes.
Still, good way to get a foot in the market and I’m very excited about it.
There’s a great unit we’re looking at in Middelburg, now just to go ahead and find out what the finance implications will be.
We got married exactly 3 years after he asked me out and I was walking on air the whole day. The emotions that flooded through me as we stood in front of the altar was so overwhelming.
But although the day was fabulous, that’s not what it’s really about. The actual marriage is the best thing that’s happened to me yet. It’s amazing to live with my husband and share everything with him. The level of trust between us has gone up so much.
I can recommend this to anyone!
