Sooo….growing up I was not raised to go to church b/c parents didn’t like organized religion. So My senior year of high school I began getting very interested in who I am, why am I here and where I will be going. I went with a friend to a christian church one time and it was pretty cool, so I decided to become a member. Several months down the road I started having feelings that something was missing. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I knew I wasn’t where I needed to be. I then went through a rebellious time where I drank and went to parties(not like me at all). Quite quickly, I found myself in a downward spriral.

My best friend who I had know since the 3rd grade noticed this and invited me to her church. I really was nervous to go b/c I felt like I had already tried religion and it didn’t work for me. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints(a.k.a. mormon). My thoughts were I would go for that day and just “be nice”. To my surprise I couldn’t get enough. I met the missionaries of the church and they gave me lessons for a couple of weeks. They answered my questions of who I was, why I was here on earth and where I would go when I died. I was pleased to find that none of the church members were paid for their efforts in their assigned jobs. They do not believe in polygamy. Also, members of the congregation would give talks(sermines) at church, not the bishops(priests, ministers)

My conversion was tough at the age of 19 b/c my parents and some friends were strongly against it. However, I knew it was the right decision. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. I do not say that with arrogance. I say that with sincerity b/c I simply found out through personal experience and prayer. Too those looking for a church, and too those who feel like they know there is a higher being, or God study this church. It will bless you with happiness and gratitude for the rest of your life. Your heart will be softened and you will find peace. The church has a website and the church is world wide. Go to lds.org and see how you feel. It has blessed me in so many ways b/c I now know that I am a daughter of God, I am here to carry out his plan, and if I follow the commandants I will live with him again.

I am 21 and I have come to the conclusion of what I want to do with my life. Two years ago I became a member of The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had never gone to church before growing up, but as I became a senior in high school I began to get very curious of religion. I went to a christian church for about 6 months, but something was missing. Then I went into a rebellious stage where I drank and went to parties(not like me at all!) and soon found myself sad and frusterated and knew I needed a change.

My best friend noticed this change in me and asked me to take lessons from the full time missionaries of the church. I soon found myself learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints(A.K.A. Mormons). I was also pleased to find they don’t believe in polygamy, their bishops(ministers) were not paid, and I could progress spiritually at my own pace. My parents didn’t agree with my conversion, but I couldn’t help but feel as if my heart had been filled everytime I went to an activity, church or religion classes.

Life now as a member of the church is pretty sweet. I try to live my life as best as I can. I want to continue to do this and I feel like it could infact change many other lives. My thoughts and words are not meant to be pushy, or preachy, but to say if you are curious about a good church go to lds.org and see for yourself. The church is world wide and it is amazing what a little prayer will do for you.
