I’ve put in quite some money into my saving account this month. I got a nice extra from work and transferred all of it.
Let’s see what January brings :)

On the 7th of January, I’m going to photograph MaYaN. A Dutch metalband. I mailed the bass player of the band with the question whether I could take a picture of the band before the show (if you don’t ask, you’re sure you won’t get there) and he said that would be alright, gave me the e-mail address of their tourmanager and the tourmanager mailed me back and said it was no problem at all.
I am so extremely nervous. I really like this band and now I’m going to meet them in person to have a small shoot with them!!!

I had another gig to photograph last Sunday. It was the same band as before and we had an amazing afternoon/evening. I didn’t have to pay for anything. They got me in for free, which automatically meant that I could get free food and drinks. We laughed and talked a lot and I really got a better connection with the entire band.
Their show went very well. Better than their previous one. I didn’t really like the light, but after I sent the drummer the pictures, he told me he really, really liked them and he thanked me that I put so many effort in it. He really appreciates my pictures :) And so does the rest of the band.
