give up caffeine
Cold Turkey 2 years ago

Like everything in my life, I approached cutting caffeine out of my life in a drastic way. I don’t seem to have the ability to do anything half way.

I stopped cold turkey on Tuesday and now it is Friday. Today is the first day I started to feel pretty normal and anxiety free. The first couple of days were pretty bad. I had a headache that increased as the days went by and I was tired all the time. I slept 12 hours Tuesday night and then had to go back to bed the next morning for an hour just to get going. I did the same Wednesday night. Thursday was just a very bad headache day, but no tiredness.

Today, like I said earlier, was pretty smooth. A little headache this morning that was taken care of with a couple of extra strength Tylenol. Looking forward to feeling even better tomorrow.

I just have to be careful to avoid hidden caffeine in things like diet Coke, chocolate etc.
