While I haven’t a significant interest in photography, other than looking at funny or beautiful photo’s, I’m thinking about making the photographic portion of my website panoramic, by melding in a capability I saw elsewhere that provides a 360 degree view (all I need is 180) capability, perhaps without much up/down tilt.
Something like that encountered within some of these pages:

http://www.ptgui.com/examples/0.html
http://www.panavue.com/products/sample_images.htm
or some other such panoramic capabilities described here

I’d be regularly photographing FOUR 4ft wide x 8ft tall sheets of whiteboard that I installed next to each other on one of my living room walls. I’m big on whiteboard usage. On the next wall I have plotter sized printouts hanging, generally D size QFD charts, and a large 2’ x 3’ dry-erase yearly calendar / planner.
Do I need a special camera type?
Perhaps I need to include a tripod?
