43 THINGS!!! Well, well, well it sure has been a long time since I’ve invested any worthwhile time into this here website (things even look different!). Glancing at my list is a sort of funny thing, to see which of my plans and priorities have changed, and what I’ve have and have not accomplished. I’d like to get back into the swing of things here because the whole list-keeping thing keeps me motivated! (HA! Considering how few of my 36 things have been accomplished in 9+ months away…)

So i’ve been gone a while, but i’m going to get back into the swing of things!
As cheesy as it might be, some friends and I have decided to read minimally one banned book during banned books week! The whole idea of banning books is so interesting/scary/absurd. I remember learning that some of the books our teacher had planned for us to read in grade school were on the “banned books” list, so she had to have them approved before our class could read them for certain. Its crazy how some of my very favorite books are on the banned list! I encourage everyone to check it out and read a book or two! If you’ve got children or cousins or friends read one to them! There’s plenty of great ones to choose from!
I met a super interesting fellow on the T the other day. We smiled at each other and struck up a conversation about the Keffiyeh he had around his neck; turns out that he’s part of Boston’s Stop the War coalition, and gave me some great information. By the time the train reached my stop we had a group conversation going! See what a simple smile can do? Keep spreadin’ the smiles! (:
