How I did it: I co-wrote a script with my husband (the real writer in the family) for fun and to relax. We wrote a comedic/satiric horror film, which we actually went and filmed as well.We started with brainstorming a plot and coming up with characters. Then we took that outline and started going with it, bouncing ideas off each other. It was the first time either of us has co-written something, and it was fun. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I directed the prologue to the film my husband and I wrote together. So it's technically part of another film, but could stand alone as a short. I did a little directing with the rest of the film, but this portion was more planned - with shot lists, multiple takes, more angles/inserts, etc. More traditional, while the rest of the film is more guerrilla in style. I think I came up with some stylish shots. Read how I did it…
How I did it: So many fantastic things have happened to me this year, and mostly it's been amazing because I have spent most of my time with my best friend - now my husband. I planned our wedding, which turned out perfectly, and did it on a dime. We moved into our first place together. I produced… Read how I did it…

22. Real Chinese jasmine tea. It’s definitely one of my favorites. I finally found the “Sunflower” brand at the Asian grocery store. I first tried it in Paraguay (it had been a gift from some Chinese people to the friends I was staying with). It has a lovely, light flavor, needs no sweetener, and helps settle your stomach when you’ve overindulged. What’s not to like?
I’m not a “save the planet” kind of person, nor a fanatic in any sense. By “going green” I mean eliminating harmful chemicals from my life for the health of my family, and reducing waste. I definitely want to make the transition to as natural as possible (no harsh synthetic chemicals, eating organic meat/eggs and most veggies, etc.) before we have kids. I want to try to raise them responsibly, and I feel that willfully exposing them to known toxins and hormones is not the best way to accomplish that.
