I got into Mack and Mabel and it’s really fun! The first performance is in February and I’m doing singing and tap dancing in the chorus.

How I did it: I started by doing music lessons in Year 8 at school. I was initially taught to play by reading simple sheet music, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. After a while of struggling with the music, I decided to teach myself. The main thing for me was just playing all of the time. I auditioned for a part for an amateur musical in July, and I got the part I went for, even though I dance like a robot :D. I have two other auditions coming up, too: one for a pantomime, Snow White, and one for a different theatre company, in the chorus.
Definitely worth doing!

I’m joining DMTC (Durham Musical Theatre Company) hopefully after I go to a meeting about it tomorrow night.
They’re going to do Mack and Mabel, and I would really like a singing part in it.
