It’s not that often you have a chance to go tobogganing. We were lucky enough to get a chance this year in Eagles Mere, PA. It was a blast, but a little scary in that you slide down a giant hill and out into the middle of a frozen lake. But what a rush! If you ever get the chance, do it!

From start to finish, the whole project took me about 5 hours, including reading the entire booklet. And the finished project was even better than I expected! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Within one short year I met and married the man I plan to journey and adventure with for the rest of my life. But what I've learned through the experience is that I don't have only one perfect partner -- we have many, for the many facets of our personalities, and they fill many different roles in our lives. When you stop focusing solely on finding that one special person, you realize the importance of the many others you've ha… Read how I did it…
I don’t remember taking any specific steps for this one. I didn’t read any books, write any fake letters, or burn any lists of wrongdoings. I simply decided that I didn’t want to carry around the weight of past pain. Anger is heavy, ya know? So I made a conscious decision to let some things go. And for the most part, now I can’t even remember what I was so mad about in the first place!
Out of sheer boredom and an abundance of gorgeous fruit from the Amish farmers’ market, I’ve conquered the basics of home canning. In the past 6 months I’ve made sour cherry preserves, cranberry apple butter, and spiced clementine marmalade. And after giving it all away, the results are in—yum!
And while you can certainly buy a tasty jar of jam for less than it costs to make one, there’s something to be said for the satisfaction of knowing you made this jar yourself.
