So I’ve finished the first draft of the novel (started for NaNoWriMo) and now onto editing.

I have to say I’m a bit perplexed. I’ve edited a gazillion essays (mine and others) a whole bunch of short stories (mine and others) and magazine and blog articles (mine), but a book?

How on earth am I going to hold the whole thing in my mind while I consider:

theme
literary allusions
character growth/voice
subplots
secondary character voices

Eek! What have I gotten myself into?
