Love my new glasses! I can’t believe I waited so long to replace my old pair.

So I finally got up the courage to get a new hairstyle—and to get highlights. I love my new do and get compliments all the time. What a simple way to boost esteem.
But if you’re going to get them, you have to pony up the dough to keep them nice. I had to throw out all of my hair products and buy new “color safe” ones. If you cheap out on this part, your highlights will get brassy. All that money you spent on them will be wasted!
So, I’d say getting highlights is worth doing. However, once you include maintenance costs it ended up being much more costly than I had thought it would be.
