I’ve only written about 600 words now for yesterday, so today I am going to try to write the 1667 and tomorrow I will have more free time (After my French test) to write all day and not worry… I would prefer to do 1667 words a day and not play “catch up” (that is much more difficult for me) but school work must come first :/

How I did it: It took me a long while because I stopped reading half-way through... I wasn't enjoying the book that much, but after a month or so of not reading, I picked it up again and read at a leisurely pace. Sitting on my porch I would take long pauses between passages to enjoy nature and just sitting outside. There are some beautiful parts of the book that I enjoyed, the theme is interesting and the characters, but the book deffinately drags for … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I rented the film from a movie rental store (maybe Blockbuster or Hollywood Video), it was late at night, the night before it was due back. Even though it was about 2:00 am, I knew that I wanted to watch it. I put the DVD in the slot and pressed the play button. From then on out I was engrossed in the movie. I was especially sympathetic to the older female character (it was a long time ago, but I think her name is Sarah). I won't ruin the… Read how I did it…
How I did it: If I value life, then how could I reap the benefits of taking away a life? I couldn't.... thus I became a vegetarian. I'm a vegetarian, because I believe it's the right thing to do. I don't think it's praise worthy, I just think it's right, the same way I think it's right not to kill a human being or rape someone, people do not praise others for having not killed someone that day. When I was quite young, I had always felt sort of bad abou… Read how I did it…

So today I outlined my entire story, I have a good idea of how I want the story to go and why. I love the main characters; they will probably change a little bit as I begin to write them, but I think that will only serve ‘to flesh them out’ so to speak, to make them more real. I wrote character and world notes all over the page.
I think this story, depending upon how I handle it, could either be breathtakingly brilliant (as it is in my mind…) or completely farcical with heavy-handed prose…. We’ll see. :D
I was going to take my old journal entires and make them into a story, but I know that I will do that eventually and this will just give me the opportunity to take an idea and run with it… just a completely crazy idea that will either work or not! It’s really exciting! It’s a story I can imagine myself wanting to read…
If it turns out to be terrible and forced, then I can perhaps edit it in December, but this month I will just throw caution to the wind, grab this idea and dance with it wildly under the moonlight!
It’s somewhat unfortunate that November is so busy for me… I will have finals towards the end of the month and I have a 10 page paper due at the beginning of December… Instead of doing what I usually do, write the paper the night or weekend before it is actually do, I will work in my “Stop Procrastinating” goal by writing my paper a little bit at a time and this story a little bit at a time…
Once I get on a role, I can just write and write and before I know it, I have pages and pages writen… Getting started is the hard part.
The above was 310 words as it was and I didn’t even intend to write that much… And that didn’t take me very long to write at all! 1667 words a day? I think that I can do that. :) I must have written atleast that on my outline alone…
When I first read about NaNoWriMo on 43things a couple of months ago, I vowed to participate. Now I am officiallt signed-up. I was going to take some of my hand-written journals as inspiration for a story, and I might still do that, or I might just plan something completely different and work off the cuff of my imagination…. I might combine the two as well… I don’t know. We’ll see. :)
