How I did it: I got a three-year diary and every day wrote done some gratitudes (things that made me happy that day) and some acknowledgements (things I've done). In the beginning I'd write the things down as they happened, but later I started writing them last thing that night (or next morning, if I was really too tired to write). Read how I did it…
How I did it: It starts with shutting up when you feel a vent or a whine coming. :) Next I'd take a close look at the matter, and tried to sum it up into just one sentence. That way I'd have one as a spare, to use to further illustrate the cause of annoyance. Sometimes the initial vent took both of the sentences.
