It’s so hard when your routine just changes on you. Things got so bad that I had to file for bankruptcy. Then on top of that, my work hours got cut down to almost nothing and had to file for unemployment benefits. Then I was disqualified before I even got my first check. Now I have to re-appeal. It sucks, all the paperwork and all, but in the end it’s important for my family’s well being. I’m going to take my own advice when things where going well. I’m going to write down what I’ve always wanted to do and write a schedule doing it. Then I’m going to try to make it habit. I’ll write back in a week. to see how things went.

How I did it: Before I got married, I went on a road trip. I didn't know where I was going. All I know is that I had food, gas money, a tent, and some extra cash just in case. It was an experience that had me search my soul to determine if I really wanted to get married. I met some interesting people on the way. I wrote in my journal. I drew what I saw. I cleared my mind. Then... I began to think about what I wanted. I wanted to marry that girl back at… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, I do keep a traditional journal; a physical book with blank pages that one has to write in on a regular basis. My friend jena has been keeping a journal for years and my wife knew that I wanted to do something like that. So, she bought me a book just like hers. It's great. It's a book where I can draw and write whatever my little heart desires. It's way more free than just the "journals like this one at 43things.com. I also keep a b… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went in with my wife (fiance at the time) to Planned Parenthood and took tests for everything before we married. After we found out we where clean and clear we married. It was pretty painless. Read how I did it…

So, I’m still down to about one a day. I’m kind of wavering between fully quitting and just having the occasional cigarette. I’m trying the approach of everything in moderation. I know it sounds awful, but I just can’t force myself to repress. It just makes me want more, more, more. I asked a friend who lost weight in the Marines and asked him how they did it. He said everything in moderation. I think I’ll begin to try that. I think I’ve gone wrong with the all-or-nothing approach.
I’ve finally submitted the project to plan check. I got paid for it. Now I’m just waiting for comments. I’m going to knock this one out of the park as soon as I get it. I’m just waiting for the pitch.
