I’m training for the L.A Marathon atm and doing a low-carb diet to couple that with a mild weight training program. The race is March 21st 2010 and by then I will hopefully be at 7% body fat at the minimum.

How I did it: I did a series of long runs, tempo runs, intervals, hill training, and weight training workouts for 4 months straight. I ended up finishing in 1:43:13 even though I had 2 separate injuries and had A LOT of fiber that morning (HUGE mistake!). Read how I did it…
How I did it: At first, I was just running 7 miles every other day. That won't cut it. Throw in some tempo and intervals along with long runs if you really plan on doing well (50 min. or less). Read how I did it…
How I did it: Low-calorie and cardio! Running and training for a 5k will get you started. From there, you increase your cardio and do weight lifting on the days you don't want to do cardio so you end up keeping your metabolism strong. Read how I did it…

I ran my first half-marathon in Huntington Beach, CA on super bowl Sunday in an incredible PR of 1:43:13 when my previous was 1:51:00. I had 2 injuries that day and had WAY too much fiber (HUGE MISTAKE!!).
I’m training for my first marathon in L.A and my condition right now isn’t anywhere near my condition for when I was training for my half. I have a lot of things such as school and coaching going on right now that is taking up a lot of time so hopefully when they end I can really jump into and attack this training HARD. I’m aiming for under 4 hours but under 3:45 would be optimal.
I started at 232-234 pounds in November. I began running at the end of November and since then I am running 150 miles per month and weigh between 206-208. I’m aiming for 185 by the end of Summer.
