So. I’m back from my date. It didn’t work out. He wasn’t the same in the flesh, I didn’t find him attractive nor did I want to work on that. He was incredibly shy and there were awkward moments, but it wasn’t hideous and all is not lost.
I have learnt an incredible amount from it. The main thing is that I am attractive and sexy and confident and funny and worth dating and that I should stick to my high expectations of a partner. I could so easily have tried with this guy. Without wanting to sound too full of ego, he was extremely keen, and if I thought that was all I was worth I could’ve continued and known I’d have been adored. But I’ve realised I deserve to try for what I want and that eventually, I’ll be able to get it :)

How I did it: Firstly, I made sure I had plans for the time I was going to be on my own. I don't mind travelling solo but evenings and meal times can sometimes be awkward. So I booked up a couple of things, either actually or made a mental note to do them and I also forced myself outside when I sometimes wanted to sleep/watch TV. This worked out great.Secondly, for the time I spent with friends I made sure I was open to doing whatever they wanted and t… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well the obvious way really; I left the country with an open mind, a cheery disposition and a desire to have an amazing time, and I did! I accepted invitations, I chatted when chatted to and instigated chit-chat as well, I smiled a lot and just had a blast. Read how I did it…
How I did it: With a lot of strong will and determination. A love of a list. Wanting to fill my brain with useless information. To be indispensable at pub quizzes. For my own nerdy sense of self-satisfaction. Read how I did it…

Damn you X Factor, damn you! This is the second X Factor sponsored song I’ve found myself obsessed with. First of course was Tweedy’s pop gem which I hated to start with then it wormed its way in, gr.
Anyway, onwards…
1. Finding out more good stuff about The Date that makes me feel positive we’ll get on
2. Getting on with my temporary boss/trainer who I have always thought to be an utter c*nt (not a gratuitous use, I really have felt like that about him!) but is actually a pretty decent guy who just happens to have a wayward ego
3. I’ve mentioned it already against another goal, but getting interest in my ‘room required’ profile. Moving is stressful but at least some options are starting to present themselves
4. The ridiculous looseness of my work trousers
5. My Mum <3
Have a had a few responses to my ‘room required’ ads, followed one up but not especially keen of the sound of the guy (practical and logical as I am, I also like to rely on ‘vibes’, I’m usually right) so am going to try the other tomorrow and hopefully go for a look round. Really wish I could live on my own but circumstances dictate I can’t. Boo.
