Because of some deep embedded masochism, I keep going to pet stores and playing with puppies, only to not be able to buy them. But, at least it helps me consider breeds I like. Right? Not totally useless/heartbreaking?
TANGENT BEGINS
I fell in love with a little springer/cocker spaniel that I named Billy Beefcake. He was a little smarty pants that loved to cuddle and, at 12 weeks old, already knew how to catch! Wow, dog genius!
The other one that stands out was a little cocker spaniel-poodle mix with (a rather unfortunate) nickaname of cock-a-poo, but I called Madeline because of her coloring. I nearly died of cuteness overload when she tried to run but did a combination baby-Bambi-learning-to-walk thing with a Roadrunner-whose-legs-run-a-full-two-minutes-before-he-moves thing.
Then there was the unforgettable Poodley Poodlowski, who, was obviously, a poodle. Actually, a tiny litte bal of fluff that fell asleep on my lap.

I stood up a couple of times when I was in Hawaii this last December. Incredible. Like walking on water and flying.
Now, waiting for global warming and Cali’s coast to, you know, not be freezing.
