How I did it: For a while I had known that I wanted to move to either Ukrainian Village or Wicker Park. Since I had the neighborhoods narrowed down, it made the apartment search MUCH easier. At the very end of 2010, my boyfriend and I purchased our first new car together. Seeing as how we live in the city, we decided to sell both of our cars and purchase one new car together. Our requirements were that:
1. It was a hatchback (super helpful for having a large dog!)
2. That it fit my boyfriend, who is 6’5”
We found just what we were looking for with a GTI, and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase!
...but a container garden! We’re just growing herbs at the moment (basil is growing way better than anything else!)
