I got a book called “Investing for Dummies”—-I am totally lost in the investing game. I plan on reading this and hooking up with a good friend (who has invested successfully). Gotta start somewhere!

In order to have more patience with my kids (aged 14, 10, 9, and 4) I need to be clear on what my expectations are of them, and give myself and then a break every now and then! I have started hugging them more often (another goal of mine) and that seems to have a more positive effect on them. I am setting daily guidelines for them (chore and schoolwork wise) so they “get” a clearer picture of what I am asking them to accomplish. I am also consistent on a “family nite” where we can unwind and have family time with a compromised choice of dinner menu (they decide all together) and a movie or games to play.
I have been really good about starting and ending each day with a hug for each of my 4 children. My middle son used to have a hard time accepting hugs but is now starting to warm up to them.
