Still plugging through The Stand
Finished Tuesdays with Morrie – quick one-day read. Will definitely need to re-read at some point. I don’t think a lot of it sunk in.
Still reading The Stand.
Started Reliquary by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.
Finished THREE by Ted Dekker – very enjoyable. I recommend it. Part of me was disappointed in the ending, but another part of me thought it was perfect.
Now reading Mitch Albom’s TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. Page 18. This one is probably gonna make me cry, isn’t it?
THE STAND is ongoing.
Stephen King’s The Stand: page 150. Despite how slowly I’m moving through this book, I really am enjoying it. It’s just that most of my reading gets done on my lunch break at work, and The Stand stays at home because of its size. I have to say that as a direct result of reading this book, I am now more paranoid when people cough or sneeze around me. All I can think of is the disease in the book that just wipes people out. ::shudder::
Ted Dekker’s Three: page 200. I am really liking this book. It’s an interesting premise, and it’s not cheesy Christian fiction. The author is fiction and there is a definitive Christian angle, but I don’t think that any athiest (or any other religion) would throw it down and go “Ugh! Grotesque Christian fiction!” (Which is what I sometimes say when I read certain authors and I AM Christian). Very intrigued to find the identity of the psychopath. VERY intrigued.
Still in The Stand
Finished The Ice Limit
Page 13 of Ted Dekker’s Three
Still reading The Stand, but the unabridged version is far too big to be carrying around in my purse. So I’ve also started The Ice Limit by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child – page 52. Now I have a home book and an away-from-home book.
Finished THE ABC MURDERS by Agatha Christie
Now starting THE STAND by Stephen King
Finished GUNS OF THE SOUTH – excellent read. I recommend it to all.
THE ABC MURDERS by Agatha Christie – page 19
The Count of Monte Cristo – chapter 7
Guns of the South – page 227
Yes, I realize that the latter is taking me forever. It’s slow reading, but very good.
The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless – FINISHED
The Mysterious Affair at Styles (Agatha Christie) – FINISHED
Guns of the South – page 146
GUNS OF THE SOUTH page 139
THE MONSTROUS MEMOIRS OF A MIGHTY MCFEARLESS page 102
THE MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR AT THE STYLES page 10
Harry Turtledove’s GUNS OF THE SOUTH: page 79. Very interesting read. Longer than some of the other stuff I’ve been reading lately.
Also reading Ahmet Zappa’s THE MONSTROUS MEMOIRS OF A MIGHTY MCFEARLESS. I’m on page 16. It’s more of a kid’s book, but very entertaining.
Alright, finished my 8th book. Still not sure how I feel about it. It wasn’t bad, I know that. It was just…interesting. But I’m not sure that it was really good, either.
ANYWAY
Starting book 9, which is Harry Turtledove’s GUNS OF THE SOUTH
