Learn to knit

...crochet with the best of them! I’m slowly but surely learning new stiches and just finished my first afghan. Knitting, however, is completely foreign to me.
I try to practice on a regular basis, but I don’t seem to be improving yet. My stitches are uneven and I can’t successfully knit the last stitch in a row.
I’m going to continue practicing, and hopefully will see some improvement soon. My goal is to be able to knit a afghan square (for my knitting club’s Warm Up American afghan) by Christmas. We’ll see!
It turrned out absolutely beautifully! The picture doesn’t really do it justice, but I wanted to get all of the colors into the picture. It stripes diagonally and is so beautiful! Hopefully he will love it…we’ll know on Saturday!
This was an awesome project. Time-consuming, but awesome and rewarding. I didn’t ever appreciate how big of a project an afghan is, but I’m glad I did it!
