I tried. I got waitlisted. Funny, Stanford was my first choice overall, and I thought it was tragic that I didn’t get accepted. And yet, I ended up at USC, which is a Waaaay better school in a Waaay better city. I’m so glad I ended up where I’m at. This decision has altered the course of my life (thus far) for the better.
So I didn’t get into Stanford. Good thing too. Their band is terrible. Meh, there’s always medical school.

How I did it: I set goals. I never settled for less than I deserve and desireI worked very very hard.I hold myself to a higher standard than anyone can possibly accomplish.I began seeing myself as financially free, Free to make my own decisions, free to live the life that I want to, not the one anyone else thought I should live. I found a mentor. I listened to him. I still do. I give gratitude for everything I have in my life as we… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I filled out the application like everyone does. See, everyone's got the scores, the grades, the extracurricular activities to go to the college they want to get into. When I say everyone, I of course mean those with the motivation to reach for something higher tend to do these things. What really sets you apart is who you are as a person. You have to make an effort to show this to the people who handle your application. How d… Read how I did it…
Probably the highlight of my life thus far. It was such an honor to carry the sword and wear the armor on game days. I marching out, alone, in front of 90,000 people in person and several million viewers at home (there was always a camera right in my face) and driving that sword into the field. The rush! Such a privilege to lead the world famous Trojan Marching Band, the Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe! Fight On!
I’ve done this twice. Tony Horton is really really annoying, but that does not mean this isn’t work doing. great workout program for those of us who just need to know what to do when we work out. Highly recommended, but I recommend anything that gets butts off the couch.
