I’ve been much more consistent lately with both the regular LJ and the new personal finance blog. Yay! Not great enough to say I’ve completed the goal, but getting closer.

The car is clean and has been. I’m no longer entertained when it is not clean, and therefore it will remain as such. Hooray goal achieving!
This house goes through phases. It is gorgeously clean, perfectly organized, and good smelling one week. Then, it’s slightly cluttered, a little messy, and slightly amiss. It then transitions to an absolute disaster overnight. Suddenly there are dishes exploding from the sink, piles of paperwork everywhere, dirty laundry that even a laundromat would turn away, and a weird smell … not foul, not awful, but weird. Then I clean like a crazy person for three straight days, and we start over.
It’s interesting that this cycle seems to be direclty linked to when other people are here. If I were by myself all the time, I somehow doubt the cycle would continue as it’s ridiculous to think I would destroy a house I spend hours cleaning. Someone out there should consider that …
