How I did it: I take online classes a few days a week still. Meet up w/ my fellow classmates once a month downtown to motivate eachother. It feels amazing to have such a strong support group. I'm still not done since classes end in October, but I've come so far already I might as well mark it off as done! Read how I did it…
Saved a dog today. He was walking around our complex with a huge cone on his head, poor thing looked like he just had some kind of surgery. Anyhoo, bout an hr. later Animal Control came w/ a reporter for the channel 8 news (she recorded it too) So some of it may be on t.v. I think it’s almost a guarantee…How often do you see a 65 pd brindle mutt with a humungo cone on his head walking around
You may do it. I’m pretty sure we have all done it at one point in our lives…focus on the negative. Well, not me, anymore that is! In the end something positive always comes out of a negative. It’s all in how you handle it.
1. My sound on my TV has gone out, so I’ll have it on with closed captioning. The positive is I’ve started reading more and w/ the house being more quiet than usual, I end up turning it off and listening to some music. My choice yesterday? Billie Holiday playing from my 40’s cabinet stereo. It was a sunny morning and the mood was perfect.
2. I don’t have internet access or a computer for that matter. BUT My best friend lives a bit less than 1 mile away. I get exercise in by walking here (my car isn’t working…HA!) And I’m free to stay here as long as I want. (this IS my home away from home)PLUS she has cable and a TV w/ sound soooo I play HGTV while I get my work done.
3. I’m still jobless. BUT I haven’t given up hope, sometimes we have to be patient. I’ll just keep applying and sending in resumes and one day soon, it’ll happen. The positive? For the first time in 17 years, I was able to be an at home Mom. It hasn’t even been 6 months and yet I feel like a whole new woman…Mom. The girls and I have always been close, but this time we experienced a whole new relationship! We had the whole summer to hang out and it was amazing, something I will always cherish. I will never forget this summer….ever.
