quit #6 Day #2
WOW what a journey this past year (2008)
I have quit about 4-5 times this year alone
sometimes it lasted a whole month (twice) sometimes it lasted 12 hours.
I don’t want to say this time is definitive and just set myself up for failure again BUT I do have a strong feeling.
I am thinking of moving in with someone I like, she doesn’t smoke and I would never want to do that around her. Mainly though, I have the privilege of having a good sound body, what an imbecile I would be to ruin it over such a trivial want/desire. Mind over matter, God help me.

I know what I need to do, as per my previous entry, now, I need to do it ! kind of like my police application package, its sometimes a little boring and long, but I need to put all the information together. All the notes I’ve taken from talking to older wiser people, compile them, reflect on them, pray istikhara, and then think some more.

Of course I will start with a half marathon … I do want to survive my first long run ;p
I first need to gain 20 some pounds for work, which I can accomplish by the end of march.I should be able to start training for my half marathon by the begening of april
6-7 weeks should be plenty for me as I have a certain facility for running. I saw that most training schedules are longer then that, but its worth a shot.
So far, I’ve done 2.4km in 9:07
5.4km in 24:00 ish
I think with disciplined training I could do 20 kms under 1:45:00
