Oh yeah, I’m in a fairly good place after I went to the pain clinic and told them about the issues that still needed to be addressed since I started getting treatment. After making some changes to my meds, I actually started feeling better! There’s a switch, lol.
With a bit more energy and endurance, I started going to church pretty regularly since I’m not in so much pain the whole time. I even started playing the piano for the Wednesday night prayer services and practice on Saturday afternoons too, of course.
It’s definitely an improvement and a huge relief to see progress. I don’t have a whole lot of time for much else yet, since i still sleep too much, but it’s definitely a good thing.

I finally finished the repair work and had a new bite plate made to help prevent damage from clenching. I’m feeling really good about the whole thing and the next thing I know, I’ve got two separate back teeth with corners broken off and my head spinning, trying to figure out what went wrong.
Then I woke up with my jaw in an unusual clenched position and realized that on the right side, my teeth are actually able to touch when my bite plate is in! Apparently, the high places are what broke off and now I have to go back and add to my already outrageous bill of over $3K to get things fixed.
I’ve known that I’m hypermobile in many joints, including my jaw-which contributes to my TMJ and the $3K bill for that matter, but I didn’t think it would skew the way my teeth met. Back to the dentist! Ugh!

This wasn’t a major priority on my list, but it feels good finishing it. It was a bit difficult to read the style of writing, but I really enjoyed the story and was definitely worth it!
