Over the past year I have amassed a base of about 150 useable signs and use them with friends at church as well as with my two year old “niece and nephew”. I am getting more comfortable with using the signs that I do know and it is great having so many wonderful people as resources for more signing. I like signing along to songs at church and I feel wonderful when I can converse with others in thier “first language”.
It’s a lot of fun too!

The joy and sense of accomplishment I felt from rembering and marking my friend’s birthday with a thoughful present was just the boost I needed. He was touched and surprised and that made it all the better.
So Shawn’s birthday is is a few days so my goal for today is to find his address, choose a gift and mail that out with the card I found. I think he will be surprised too. ;) what fun!
