I get out of the Marines May 2009, and as soon as I get out I am planning a trip from San Diego to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, going through all the Central American countries, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. I will spend about 50 days on the trip, and I’ll be taking a RORO or ferry from Panama to Columbia. Once in Brazil I’m going to ditch my car and fly back. I’m looking for someone to go with. If you pay for your food and plane ticket home (about $1,000) and throw in just $750 towards hotel costs, I’ll pay for everything else, I just need to find someone to travel with. Can’t beat that, a trip through 14 countries for less than 2,500 bucks. However, if someone is willing to throw in more money on the trip, or if more people go, then I’d have more leeway in making the trip longer and doing more things. Let me know if anyone has any interest in coming along. I’ve done extensive research on this trip, so I know what I’m in for, and I’ll be thoroughly prepared in every aspect for this adventure.
