Hope this helps someone else too!

I really need a Cheap Mountain Bike. My son is a mountain bike nut and I really want to go out with him but he (and I) are afraid my mountain bike will fall apart on the first outing. So, I’m hoping to find a good Cheap Mountain Bike that will keep up. He has a Brodie Bike. I’m thinking of a Brodie, or maybe a Kona Mountain Bike. I’d love to get a Rocky Mountain Bike or a Specialized Mountain Bike.

I read the “4 Hour Work Week” and loved it so I surfed by the site and checked out the Blog. I read a post by the author, Tim Ferris titled, “Geek to Freak” where he really shook up my workout and diet. I’m not going into all the details cause you can just check it out at his blog. Here’s the key – diet is essentially high protein, low carb with one day off a week to pig out and do anything you want. The workout is very cool as it only takes 11 minutes – yes! basically it’s a ‘train to fail’ type of routine and it really works. If you just want to lose weight you can do the cardio portion if you want the muscle and tone too then add in the weight training. Here’s how I do the cardio – on a machine, I like the elliptical, (or you can do this running, skating, whatever turns your crank.) Anyhow, warm up for 2 minutes, then crank it up full out for one minute, or as long as you can go, (if you are on a machine crank-up the resistance too, if running try and find a hill), bring it back down to a comfortable pace again for 2 minutes, then crank it up again for one. Do this for 3 sets with a 2 minute cool down at the end = 11 minutes and you will sweat like a pig and it works!
