I was introduced to this venerable list when it came out just over a few weeks ago and am happy to see it’s already on 43 things.
I’ve been attacking the newer 2007 edition, which from what I understand hasn’t changed much from the 2006 article KimCheese has linked above. I’m a big time eater and was suprised (read: had some humility kicked into me…) to see that initially I’d only eaten at 17 of the 99. Boo-hiss! Still have a long way to go. At least it’s going to be a fun adventure to accomplish, and not a lame exercise in patience, like say, sitting through all the Western’s on AFI’s 100 list.
Here’s to eating, exploring the wonderful city of LA, and to discovering new tastes! Cheers!

Saw Luisa Fernanda last night at the LA Opera. Placido played the role of the kind hearted, rich farmer who falls in love with Luisa, but then lets her go back to her jerk ex Javier. He was incredible! In person it was wonderful to hear such rich tone from Placido – with no microphones or speakers in the theatre, I was amazed that he could project his voice beautifully over the orchestra. The gent playing Javier was frequently drowned out…
Hope I have the honor of seeing Mr. Domingo again in the near future!
Last semester I officially started my college education journey with Business Law and Business Marketing. This semester I’m taking Intro to Business and Business Management. If I take two classes each semester I think I’ll be able to graduate in …hmmm…. 2016? Ha! :)
