I’ve actually completed this goal.. I went from having a couple of thousand dollars in debt to just being 1200 in the hole. Which really isn’t that bad. I’m not counting my student loans which was the only debt left that I thought I actually got something from. Student loan should be paid off with in the next year at my current rate and at least I won’t have to kill myself working two jobs to get rid of it. My credit rating is excellent and I have money in the bank.

Been using Gentoo Linux with Gnome for about 4 weeks now.. and other then my Windows based games and Adobe products, I have completely migrated to linux and I’m loving it.
Many other hurdles and nuts and bolts to learn but I think its save to say linux is my new home.
Worth doing.. if for nothing else just the exp.

Been a couple weeks or so at this point the chemical addiction is gone.. now I just need to maintain focus and a level head and beat the mental addiction. I’ve purchased some of the low grade patches to see my way through rather than reach for ‘just one’ to see my way through. Although I still need to avoid that as well since it’ll just start the whole chemical addiciton over agian. And on another note I’m sacrificing the new years evening of drinking and parting. Seems I want to smoke more while drinking. Nothing worth any value comes without sacrifice.
